WE WERE INVITED BY ANGELA RUI, CURATOR OF OPERAE 2015 TO INTERPRET and repurpose recycled STONES FROM VAL D’OSSOLA.
THE RESULT WAS A COLLECTION OF SMALL TABLES AND CENTERPIECES OBTAINED BY A SINGLE SLAB OF CLASSIC PALISSANDRO MARBLE.
THE SLABS, CORRUGATED ON ONE SIDE AND SMOOTHED ON THE OTHER, ARE SAWN WITH ANGULAR CUTS AND THEN GLUED IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION, CREATING AN ALTERNATE SURFACE, GIVING THE OBJECTS THEIR CHARACTER AND DEFINITION.
